Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue would like to introduce you to Overdue Number, aka Willow!
Willow is a Bay Thoroughbred mare, born in Virginia on May 11th, 2002. Willow became a Lucky Orphans resident in 2016. Willow was a broodmare and she was getting older. She miscarried in 2016 and her owner reached out to us to take her.
Willow jumped right into the herd, “adopting” a filly we had just weaned from her mom. She is partially blind, and actively participates in equine assisted reiki sessions and loves to be outside.
