Lucky Orphans would like to introduce you to Slick Amy aka Samson!

Born in 1996, this handsome Thoroughbred gelding, registered as Slick Amy, joined us in the summer of 2015. After years of dedicated service as a jumping lesson horse, Samson began to experience some discomfort in his back & hooves. To ensure he found a loving and comfortable retirement, he came to LOHR.

Here at the farm, Samson received the care he deserved, enjoying some well-earned rest and recuperation. He continued to share his gentle spirit by teaching beginner riders, especially enjoying the company of young equestrians. While today, Lucky Orphans no longer provides horseback riding services, you'll often find Samson basking in the sun or engaging in friendly grooming sessions with his pasture mates.
