“Fezziwig Pom Parkins”

Lucky Orphans would like to introduce you to Fezziwig Pom Parkin aka Pom!

Pom is a Belgian Draft horse gelding, born on November 30th, 2000. We know a lot about him and his daughter, Ruby. He is registered with the Belgian Draft Horse Corporation of America, meaning his family tree and records are in their database. His registered name is Fezziwig Pom Parkins. His daughter and him arrived at LOHR in 2018. Their owner died young and left her beloved horses in her parent’s care. After a few years the parents could not afford to keep them or find them homes. They were going to put Pom and Ruby down, but we stepped in and brought them to the farm. 

Today Pom is a crucial member of our therapy program on the farm. His large size and gentle nature make people feel comfortable and safe. He always wants hugs and loves to have his mane braided while listening to people’s troubles.
